The Cupertino giant launched a free repair program on Friday that aims to fix touchscreen issues affecting the iPhone 11. Apple states that the screen may stop responding to the user input due to a problem in the display module. Units manufactured between November 2019 through May 2020 are affected. In case, your device is eligible for repair, an Apple Authorized Service Center will take care of the issue.
You also do have the option to mail in the device or make an appointment with Apple at their official retail store. Speaking of which, when it comes to customer experience and satisfaction, Apple is hands down the industry best. This is our opinion, your mileage may vary.

Always backup your device prior to sending it in for repair. You can perform one via iTunes on your PC or Mac. You also can back it up on iCloud too. Any iPhone other than the iPhone 11 is not included in this free repair program.

Apple explicitly states that an iPhone with damages such as a cracked screen or others for example will need to be sorted out before continuing the repair. Additional charges may be incurred on the same.
If you have repaired your eligible iPhone that was affected by the touch issue earlier, you can contact Apple for a refund. The repair program does not extend your standard Apple warranty period. Apple may restrict the repair to the original region of purchase. Affected iPhone 11 units are eligible under this program for 2 years since their initial retail sale.
