It’s 2022 already and the next-generation iPhone 14 rumors are afloat. Industry insider Mark Gurman who is also an Editor at Bloomberg in his weekly Power On newsletter states that a possible punch-hole display on iPhone 14 models. Gurman also forecasts other 2022 products such as a new M2 chip, an iPad Pro with reverse wireless charging, and more.
Gurman iterates that the notch will be ditched in favor of a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. As a result, the Face ID components are expected to be located under the display this year on the iPhone 14.

A revamped and “marginally faster” (according to Gurman) computer chip from Apple is on the way in the form of M2. He expects the M2 to have the same 8-core CPU configuration but with a 9-core or 10-core GPU setup this time around. This means it is in every way an upgrade over the 7 or 8-core GPU available on the MacBook Air 2021.
Another upgrade slotted for this year is the Mac desktop tower with much better specifications to boot. Expected is of course an M2 chip but with a beastly 40-core CPU and 128-core GPU.
Also on the cards for this new year is an iPhone SE 3rd generation with support for 5G connectivity and A15 Bionic chipset albeit with the same form factor and design overall. And yes, Apple is aiming to launch a rugged version of the Apple Watch for outdoor and adventurous enthusiasts
