Apple is all set to announce the iPhone SE 3 later today at the Peak Performance live event. Just in time for the event, leaks are floating around about the smartphone.
An author named Lanzk of the blog Naver has leaked information that he received from the Taiwan supply chain. As expected, the iPhone SE 3 will come with an A15 Bionic chip along with 5G connectivity. However, the interesting tidbit is that the RAM will be increased to 4GB as opposed to 3GB in the current-gen iPhone SE.
Lanzk expects the IPS LCD screen size to remain at 4.7″ as the current model. Meaning, any hopes for a bezel-less display is just gone down.
The source has claims with regards to the Wireless charging department. As in, the iPhone SE will also get MagSafe charging support. Speaking of which, Lanzk expects a bump in battery capacity and backup to be significantly improved this time although the numbers are unknown. For instance, the current-gen model has a meager 1,821 mAh battery.

The leaker says about possible camera improvements but does not expect Sensor-Shift Stabilization like on the iPhone 13 series. Having said that, we feel the camera unit will most likely be the same with enhancements from the A15 chip or a carry-over iPhone 12 primary sensor.
Even though the design of the iPhone SE 3 will remain the same, Lanzk says Ceramic Shield glass will be used for better protection which debuted on the iPhone 12. It could be that only the LCD is given such durable ceramic + glass treatment with the back glass being the normal strengthened glass.
And yes, the price will be set at $399 for those wondering.
Anyways, let’s wait and watch out for the Peek Performance event and see what Apple has in store for us. The event begins at 6 PM GMT today.
