iPhone 14 Pro with an Infinity-O display?!
Apple is expected to bring a revamp to the iPhone Pro in 2022. As per renowned and credible analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities, the Cupertino company is gearing up to bring noteworthy changes to the Pro models and also an upgrade to the SE 2020. You see, ever since the iPhone X debuted, Apple has stuck on to the same notch for nearly four years now.
That said, quite oddly, Apple might take the Samsung road ultimately, as the analyst predicts a hole-punch display on the iPhone 14 Pro at least in the second half of 2022. (whatever it’s going to be named) models. This report has put us in splits regarding the fate of Face ID and all the security and integrity that goes along with the biometric system. Maybe it’s that Apple could just slap on Touch ID under the screen or embed the same into the sleep/wake button.

This type of rework in design further cements one point though; this year’s iPhone lineup will most likely retain the design from the current crop.
iPhone SE 3: Old design, new internals

Kuo also has reported a possible successor to the iPhone SE 2020. The 3rd generation SE is expected to make it in 2022 with the latest internals and 5G network connectivity. This device is expected to be Apple’s stepping stone to bring in 5G users at the root level.
However, what baffles us is that the form-factor of the iPhone 8/SE 2020 may be retained meaning we all may again witness a bezel-fest in the Apple world of things. As in, the same classic 4.7″ Retina HD display along with the Touch ID enabled home button is believed to be at the front of the device. As per our experience, the battery life on the iPhone SE 2020 is disappointing, to say the least. And that makes us wonder what Apple has got up its sleeve to improve the battery endurance in this form factor. Let’s all wait and watch.
